lyrics

Woke one morning sun was at my eye. I was looking out my window when I saw you and I thought I’d say hi, thought I’d say hi. And you would smile back at your mirror when you’d look at night.

Then you found some girls who look a lot like you. They took you out one evening and they showed you all the cool things they do. Yeah all the cool things they do. So you left all the friends you had cause they weren’t so new.

So will you stay like this forever, will you change around your ways? You know your memories they don’t ever leave, they remind us of better days. I could take you out to dinner I could take you through the park. But you’ll decline, oh you’ll decline. Cause girls don’t wanna talk.

But now your heads gone bad and you lost your heart. You walk like you’re the queen of the sidewalk I can’t tell you that you’re not though. No I can’t tell you that you’re not. You play that sweet girl in a secret type of movie part.

Now I see you once, I see you twice. Everyday and another something I ain’t looking at right. No I ain’t looking at it right. But come the night time off and drifting and its all alright.

So will I stay like this forever, will I change around my ways? So I was looking through some old memories and I can see that the times have changed. I could take you out to dinner I could take you for a walk. But you’ll decline, oh you’ll decline; I guess we’ll talk another time. I’ll try and get you off my mind.

But until I do, I’m gonna try and see through another lens. I’m gonna do what I wanna do. I’m gonna learn to think with my other brain. And by the time I do, the time I do, I won’t be wasting it on you.
