When “I have no idea” is when you’ll be back, you left me with no choice, you made me have to act.
So I took a drive out west. I chased some shooting star. I swept some country roads. I slept inside my car.
I trailed the river’s scent. I sang the desert song. I felt the valley’s low, I climbed a mountain’s wall.
And now I’m way out here. I see the world from a different hemisphere. And everyday I get younger. I keep learning things new.
But now and again, I think there’s something I’m missing.
All too often I worry, I can’t find the right piece.
But all the ones I have found, are the only things that do matter to me now.
I know the sky is falling, but it’s shining blue.
And now you’re free as night. You’ve got the heart of a gypsy. And if it weren’t for the money, you’d probably be one.
I guess I’ll see you soon. I’ll see you back on the right side. Cause when it’s time to go home, I’m going home.
