Well I’ll pick you up when you can’t drive home. And then I’ll drop you off and that will be the end. I know you’ve got my number but I should take it away. Cause any time I hear from you, you’re bound to make my day. So I’ll try not to get fooled by you again. But you never stop, again again again. Oh I try not to get fooled by you again. But you never stop, again again again. Like when I’m off at school or when I’m here at home. Or when I’m at the zoo or when I’m all alone. I know you’ve got my number but I should take it away. Cause any time I hear from you, you’re bound to make my day. So I’ll try not to get fooled by you again. But you never stop, again again again. Oh I try not to get fooled by you again. But you never stop, again again again.

Storyteller 03:05
I know an actor; he’s got a bag filled with tricks. He’s seen all the oceans and knows everything. But I can see through all of those rehearsed antics. See some try and fool you and think there’s nothing to it. See after all those hours you might forget yourself. Look in the mirror and see someone else. It’s true that your actions, they do speak louder than words. Take it from all of the liars and the tales that they told. So what I’m not independent, but I can breathe on my own. And I’m not gonna thank you as if there’s something I owe. But at least I’m real and here I’m standing. And I won’t hide my face behind a cell phone. You might forget who you are; you sing a tune I know but I don’t wanna know. You can fool everyone if you want, but you can’t fool me. See after all those hours you might forget yourself. Look in the mirror and see someone else. See after all those hours you might forget yourself. Look in the mirror and see someone else.

Fools 02:38
If life was really simple, I would leave and live with you. Cause the weather there’s much nicer and I like waking up next to you. A change of scenery’s exactly what I need. It gets so cold where we come from. Don’t listen to a single word they have to say. Cause you and I ain’t no fools. And we’ve got nothing left so now there’s nothing left to lose. I’d still spend all my time with you. So much indifference, what a difference it makes. And I’m starting to get the feeling now that I don’t have what it takes. And I don’t know myself, the way I think I should. I think I need to clear my head. Don’t listen to a single word they have to say. Cause you and I ain’t no fools. And we’ve got nothing left so now there’s nothing left to lose. I’d still spend all my time with you. Don’t listen to a single word they have to say. Cause you and I ain’t no fools. And we’ve got nothing left so now there’s nothing left to lose. I’d still spend all my time with you.

Woke one morning sun was at my eye. I was looking out my window when I saw you and I thought I’d say hi, thought I’d say hi. And you would smile back at your mirror when you’d look at night. Then you found some girls who look a lot like you. They took you out one evening and they showed you all the cool things they do. Yeah all the cool things they do. So you left all the friends you had cause they weren’t so new. So will you stay like this forever, will you change around your ways? You know your memories they don’t ever leave, they remind us of better days. I could take you out to dinner I could take you through the park. But you’ll decline, oh you’ll decline. Cause girls don’t wanna talk. But now your heads gone bad and you lost your heart. You walk like you’re the queen of the sidewalk I can’t tell you that you’re not though. No I can’t tell you that you’re not. You play that sweet girl in a secret type of movie part. Now I see you once, I see you twice. Everyday and another something I ain’t looking at right. No I ain’t looking at it right. But come the night time off and drifting and its all alright. So will I stay like this forever, will I change around my ways? So I was looking through some old memories and I can see that the times have changed. I could take you out to dinner I could take you for a walk. But you’ll decline, oh you’ll decline; I guess we’ll talk another time. I’ll try and get you off my mind. But until I do, I’m gonna try and see through another lens. I’m gonna do what I wanna do. I’m gonna learn to think with my other brain. And by the time I do, the time I do, I won’t be wasting it on you.

Sleepless 03:04
Got a lot to say but I rarely say it. Don’t want it to come out the wrong way. I’ve got a lot to do but I rarely do it. Don’t want it to turn out the wrong way. But I think I’ll be alright. Cause when I do something I’ll do it right, not just for me but many times for you. Don’t like to think cause I think too much. Life gets too hard and I lose my touch. I don’t like to try cause I try too much. I gave a lot but just not enough. But I think I’ll be alright. Cause when I do something I’ll do it right, not just for me but many times for you. And there’s just one problem there, I wish you weren’t standing where I’d like to be so I can go about my day. And all the time my mind is racing. There are many nights I just can’t sleep. But tonight I lay here, while the world is spinning rapidly but I’ll get some rest by morning, hopefully. Don’t like to talk cause I talk too much. There’s a part of listening, that’s knowing what I said. I don’t wanna work cause I work too much. I’d rather be in so many other spots. But in the corner of my yard, there exists this hidden quiet place where I could get away and look up at the stars. But tonight I lay here, while the world is spinning rapidly but I’ll get some rest by morning, hopefully.

When “I have no idea” is when you’ll be back, you left me with no choice, you made me have to act. So I took a drive out west. I chased some shooting star. I swept some country roads. I slept inside my car. I trailed the river’s scent. I sang the desert song. I felt the valley’s low, I climbed a mountain’s wall. And now I’m way out here. I see the world from a different hemisphere. And everyday I get younger. I keep learning things new. But now and again, I think there’s something I’m missing. All too often I worry, I can’t find the right piece. But all the ones I have found, are the only things that do matter to me now. I know the sky is falling, but it’s shining blue. And now you’re free as night. You’ve got the heart of a gypsy. And if it weren’t for the money, you’d probably be one. I guess I’ll see you soon. I’ll see you back on the right side. Cause when it’s time to go home, I’m going home.
